I was asked to investigate a recipe for Yellow Squash Bread submitted by Alicia Frantzen to Gillespie County Cooks, published in 2017 by the Gillespie Extension Education Association to benefit Gillespie County 4-H youth.

Alicia and her late husband, Gerald, were honored as conservation ranchers in the Doss community.

She is also the daughter of the late Arthur Lynn Hahn of Doss, my cousin, who served his precinct as road commissioner during my term as county judge.
