Man in critical condition after being shot outside Kerrville home, police say

A 39-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition outside a home in Kerrville on Thursday morning, with police investigating a 47-year-old resident as the shooter.

KERRVILLE, Texas - A man was taken to a hospital Thursday after he was shot outside a Kerrville home, according to a news release.

Officers from the Kerrville Police Department responded to a shooting call around 8 a.m. in the 100 block of West McFarland Drive to find a 39-year-old man in front of a home with gunshot wounds.

The news release described a 47-year-old resident shooting the man who allegedly wielded a knife at the front door of the home.
