WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco man was arrested Thursday after authorities discovered seven children living in severe squalor, including heavy roach infestations and floors covered in animal urine, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Robert Sims, 41, was taken into custody on Sept. 24 and charged with abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence, a state jail felony.

He is being held at the McLennan County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
