LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Gregg County Municipal Judge Scott Novy has sentenced Chris Wayne Hicks Jr., 19, for the Sept. 1, 2025, double murder of Nicole and Shawn Blake in Longview.

Hicks was found guilty of capital murder, the first count of the grand jury indictment, regarding the killing of 16-year-old Hailey Nicole Blake.

Hicks was sentenced to life in prison on this charge.
