MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick made a campaign stop in Midland Tuesday at Basin Aviation, urging West Texas voters to show up at the polls as early voting gets underway."We need Midland and this entire area watching to show up to vote," Patrick said.

Patrick, who spoke about early voting and protecting the oil and gas industry, was joined by Sen. Kevin Sparks to speak on energy.

Sparks said windmills and solar panels alone aren't enough to power Texas."When you look at what truly powers this economy, which we're the 8th largest economy in the world right? It's oil and gas and we do it more environmentally responsibly than any other place in the world," Sparks said.
