RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- With Election Day just two weeks away, candidates in some of Texas' highest-profile races are making a final push for votes, far away from the debate stage.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton drew approximately 300 people to a rally in Richmond on Tuesday night, his second campaign appearance in the Houston area that day.

His Democratic opponent, James Talarico, was campaigning in Tyler.
