AUSTIN, Texas - Opening weekend for the new COTALAND Austin theme park at the Circuit of the Americas quickly went from exciting to terrifying for some thrill-seekers when the park's Circuit Breaker roller coaster came to an unexpected stop not once, but twice.

The first incident happened Saturday with 19 riders aboard.

The coaster vehicle stopped in a vertical tilt position, leaving riders safely secured for about nine minutes before returning to a horizontal position, COTALAND told CBSAustin and KVUE.
