Hundreds of open recalls are affecting nearly every vehicle brand on the road right now - and that could mean a free repair is waiting for you.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 1,000 recalls affecting more than 29 million cars were issued just last year.

With AAA reporting that auto mechanic labor rates can top $200 an hour, getting a recall repair done before a small problem becomes a major one could save drivers serious money.
