The Shield of Faith Thrift Store on Friday was packed with various different items, books, pieces of furniture, glassware and more inside the Armor of God Outreach's 22,000-square-foot facility at 61 N. Gilmer St. in Killeen.

A young person could be seen reading a book in the middle of one of the aisles while volunteers arranged the clothing hanging on one of the racks.

John "JT" Haun and other representatives from Armor of God Outreach gave KDH News staff a tour Friday of its Gilmer Street location, where the former Zip Cleaners was, and currently serves as a day center for homeless people as well as a thrift store.
