Today will be our last day of oppressive heat and being under heat advisories for a few days as we get some heat relief coming our way from a weak, but much-needed cold 'not as hot' front arriving on this first weekend of August.
This summer cold front will bring back a slight chance of a few rain showers on Saturday while also taking an edge off the heat with highs coming back into the lower 90's by Sunday.
With winds briefly shifting back to the north behind the frontal passage late on Saturday, we will get a drop in humidity levels to where our morning lows will be near 70 degrees with a few upper 60's possible in a few locales going into early next week.
