HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Crews responded after a fire on the roof of Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center on Friday afternoon, the Houston Fire Department said.

The fire reportedly broke out on the roof of Smith Tower, HFD said.

Firefighters added that while the blaze prompted a 2-alarm response, no evacuations were necessary at the time.
