HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A grand jury declined to indict a University of Houston football player accused of assaulting a pregnant woman, according to court documents.

Last week, 19-year-old Carmello Brooks was suspended from the UH football team after he was accused of assaulting a pregnant woman he dated.

However, the woman showed up in court and told ABC13, saying she was not assaulted and defended Brooks.
