Boerne Champion opened its 2026 cross country season last week at the Friday Night Lights meet in San Antonio and both varsity squads finished in the top 5.

The Champion boys tallied 130 points for second and the Lady Chargers were fifth with 149 points.

The Chargers are scheduled to run at the Westlake Meet in Austin this weekend and at the Buda Hays meet the following week.
