A student at Bulverde Creek Elementary was found with a knife on a school bus Monday morning after classmates alerted a staff member, a memo to parents from the school said.

According to the memo sent to KSAT by North East Independent School District, several students reported the weapon to a teacher on bus duty as they exited the bus.

The teacher immediately boarded the bus and escorted the student with the knife to the school office.
