The only way to "Never Forget" is to continue to remember, so members of the Kerrville Fire Department found a way to turn a negative into a positive on the 25th anniversary of the terror attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

The brotherhood of the fire service is unbreakable, demonstrated each year as firefighters around the country host events to commemorate the 343 firefighters who perished in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attack on the World Trade Center in New York City.

For years, Kerrville Fire Department firefighters have participated in the San Antonio 110 event, in which they climb 110 stories at the Tower of Americas in full bunker gear, just like their brothers in service did 25 years ago.
