Law enforcement students at New Braunfels High School and Long Creek High School now have the opportunity to utilize a real police car for a more hands-on learning experience, thanks to a donation from the city of New Braunfels.

A few years ago, career and technical education (CTE) teacher Jennifer Thompson took her New Braunfels High School class to visit the New Braunfels Police Department, where they heard about new cars the station was acquiring.

Thompson then wondered, 'What do they do with the old ones?' She reached out to the police department and got in touch with Sergeant Chris Peltier about a potential donation.
