BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - Seven years after 20-year-old Meagan Gonzales was found burned and badly decomposed in a field in southwest Bexar County, investigators have arrested a suspect in connection with her death.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said it arrested Joey Emiliano Tovar-Vargas on Thursday.

Meagan Gonzales' dad, Eddie, said detectives contacted him two days later, on Saturday, Oct. 31, to tell him about the arrest.
