While the state of Oklahoma has shut down thousands of illegal marijuana farms, new reports show that it's left behind a toxic mess.

The "wild west of weed." That's what Oklahoma became at the turn of the decade."During the pandemic in '20, we started to see a lot of criminal organizations in lockdown states coming to Oklahoma," said Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics spokesman Mark Woodward.

"They were able to get in and take advantage of cheap land, cheap license here in Oklahoma, some loose regulations."In response, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics formed a Marijuana Enforcement Team - "MET" - to target illegal marijuana trafficking.
