The Fredericksburg Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is beginning its fall semester with four classes.

The first, on Sept. 23, will feature speaker-favorite Charlotte Freeborn providing a historical look at the Salem witch trials, along with advice on current-day events and attractions in Salem, Massachusetts.

The class will run from 2-3:30 p.m. at the City Hall East Campus, 2828 E. U.S. Highway 290. The following day, Sept. 24, Dr. Marye Tharp will talk about the history of the Empire State Building, including its construction during the Depression, its prominence in movies and its ownership controversies, including some involving Donald Trump.
