For the past four decades, the Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter (a no-kill shelter) and Veterinary Clinic has provided support services to dogs and cats in the Texas Hill Country.

Founded in 1986 by Margaret Freeman and Betty Fritts, the facility provides low-cost veterinary care, shelter, boarding and pet neutering surgery to pets in the community.

Both Freeman and Fritts have died, but a dedicated staff and volunteers have carried their mission forward.
