David Cummings, the former chief actuary at USAA, will be the featured speaker for Schreiner University's Weir and Nell Labatt Distinguished Lecture Series from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. The lecture will be in the Schreiner University Ballrooms on the second floor of the Cailloux Campus Activity Center.

Cummings has decades of experience in insurance, actuarial science, analytics and risk management.

As senior vice president and chief actuary at USAA, he led the company's property and casualty actuarial and analytics group.
