DEL RIO, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents recently rescued three migrants who had been locked inside a freight car by smugglers, marking the second such incident at the same location in recent weeks.
What we know: On the afternoon of September 7, agents assigned to the Uvalde Border Patrol Station were inspecting a stationary freight train on a rail siding near Knippa.
A Border Patrol canine alerted to an autorack car carrying automobiles, prompting agents to inspect the vehicle.
