LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The deconstruction of Abe Martin Stadium in Lufkin is scheduled to start the week of Nov. 16, according to athletic director Carl Abseck.

Abseck says one of the first steps will be relocating the turf from the stadium to the middle school.

The deconstruction and subsequent demolition of Abe Martin Stadium were part of the bond measure approved by voters in May with 57% of voters approving the proposition.
