Commissioner of Education Mike Morath visited Oak Run Middle School on Friday to recognize the school's academic growth after ORMS raised its accountability rating from a C to an A in just one year.
The Texas Education Agency released its 2026 accountability ratings last week, which assigns letter grades from A to F to Texas school districts and each of their campuses.
The ratings are based on three core domains - academic achievement, school progress and closing the gaps.
