KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Rising property taxes, utility costs, youth activities and the possibility of bringing data centers to Killeen were among the topics discussed Wednesday night as residents gathered to voice their concerns about the city's future.
Killeen City Councilman Charles "Chuck" Kimble, who represents District 2, hosted a town hall meeting Oct. 14 at VFW Post 9191 on Zephyr Road, giving residents an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about issues affecting their community.
One of the biggest topics was the city's budget and the financial challenges associated with property tax exemptions for disabled veterans.
