Hundreds of vehicles, from vintage Model-Ts to modern luxury sports cars, piled into North Park on Canyon Lake on Oct. 18 for the Dam Community Alliance's ninth annual Dam Fine Car Show.

The Dam Community Alliance was formed in 2018, when the Canyon Dam Service Road was closed due to violations of the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968, which "requires that buildings or facilities that were designed, built or altered with federal dollars or leased by federal agencies after August 12, 1968 be accessible," according to theU.S. Access Board website.

Following complaints of the access road's violations, an investigation found that the road was never intended for public use, and thus was not built to meet federal accessibility regulations, the Dam Community Alliance website states.
