In a public service announcement issued Thursday, October 8, City Manager Todd Darden said the city responded promptly after discovering the disruption, secured its computer network, and worked with city information technology personnel and outside cybersecurity specialists.

According to Darden, those efforts include investigating the incident's nature and extent, containing the activity, and safely restoring affected systems.
