VAN ALSTYNE, Texas (KXII) - The Van Alstyne Public Library has launched a free app that lets residents and visitors take a self-guided history tour through downtown Van Alstyne.

The app, called "STQRY Walk," allows users to explore businesses, people and history throughout the downtown area at their own pace.

The tour begins at the crosswalk on Main Street."We're all about preserving our history and making sure everyone is aware where we come from and how this town was built and the people that built it," said Amber Rosenberg, operations supervisor at the Van Alstyne Library.
