AUSTIN, Texas - Texas is looking to expand its energy portfolio by exploring new power projects on state-owned land, including geothermal energy, small modular nuclear reactors and natural gas plants.

The Texas General Land Office announced Tuesday that it is seeking input from companies, developers, technology providers, energy producers and other groups interested in developing those resources.

The agency is opening a Request for Information, or RFI, as it explores potential opportunities for what it describes as dependable and dispatchable power sources.
