FREEPORT, Texas (KTRK) -- The City of Freeport issued a boil water notice for scheduled improvements to the city's water system.

The announcement was made at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

At 8 p.m., when ABC13 asked whether the notice was still in effect, an official confirmed it would remain in effect until Monday.
