WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Construction continues around the City of Waco and some roads are expected to be closed Monday, city officials say.

The Washington bridge, located between University Parks Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 27, through 4:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30. This closure will allow the Texas Department of Transportation to conduct a bridge inspection.

As the Speegleville Road Improvement Project advances, Oak Road between Speegleville Road and Sunrise Lane will remain closed.
