An Amazon cargo plane overshot the runway at Miami International Airport Sunday and struck multiple vehicles just outside the airport, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Heavy flames and smoke could be seen coming from the crash site, with the fire department reporting "multiple patients." What we know: According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the Amazon Prime Air plane overran the runway around 2 p.m. and struck multiple vehicles near the 2100 block of Northwest 42nd Avenue.
It had just arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
