The Boerne Little League baseball team just couldn't get its offense going until late Thursday morning in its opening game at the Southwest Region tournament.

Boerne, the Texas West champions, opened the event against the Texas East champs Thursday morning in Waco, and fell to the East Texas team, 10-3, and didn't score its three runs until the last inning.

Texas East opened with a two-run first frame for the quick 2-0 lead and added two more runs in the second to pull ahead 4-0.
