Dalhart Fire Chief Curtis Brown was a loving father, husband, sibling, grandfather, and friend.

He was recruited to the Dalhart Fire Department by his brother Billy, who was also a member.

It was said there was something about Curtis that made you "willing to follow him anywhere" and that he was dedicated to his department and his family.
