The Texas Department of Public Safety on Saturday morning released the following details regarding a two-vehicle traffic accident from Monday, Nov. 2 in Brown County that claimed a life.

At 6:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2 near 5050 US Highway 67/377, east of Early, a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder sport utility vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound passing lane of US 67. A 2026 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling west on US 67 in the passing lane.

The two vehicles collided head-on as the DPS investigator suspects the driver of the Nissan was impaired due to a medical condition and intoxication.
