TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Members of the public will no longer be guaranteed a chance to speak during Railroad Commission meetings following the adoption of a new policy earlier this month.

Instead of a public comment period, agency staff will hold listening sessions and events throughout the year.

The Railroad Commission of Texas is composed of three members, called commissioners, who regulate oil and gas.
