A philosophy of "supporting the whole child" has earned the top educator at the Boerne Independent School District statewide honors for enhancing counseling services, officials said.

On Nov. 15, Superintendent Kristin Craft is receiving the Professional Recognition Award-Superintendent of the Year by the Lone Star State School Counselor Association.

She will be recognized during the association's 2026 Annual Conference at the Lone Star Awards Gala in Dallas.
