We frequently hear the term "October Surprise" as we get close to elections, an unexpected event that could change the outcome of an election.

In gardening we sometimes have our own " October Surprise", and the more you garden, the less of a surprise it becomes.

That surprise, more than likely, involves the weather and ultimately affects what we have been and could producing.
