THE BOOKWORM Artists in our area might want to attend the "Art Above Everything" panel discussion at the Boerne Book Festival, on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. The discussion follows the title of a new book by Stephanie Elizondo Griest, in which she met and interviewed more than 100 artists on different paths, and how they placed art above all.

Griest grew up in Corpus Christi and has traveled the world as a journalist and author.

She's written many books about her travels and is a Professor of Creative Non-Fiction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
