COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - A 19-year-old man faces a criminal mischief charge after police say he cut the power cables to two Flock Safety cameras and covered them with American flags late last month.

According to a probable cause statement from the College Station Police Department, officers were alerted on Aug. 28 after a bystander noticed two Flock Safety cameras had been tampered with near the intersection of Wellborn Road and Greens Prairie Road.

An investigator dispatched to the scene found that the wiring for both cameras had been cut.
