The Brown County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide just outside the northern city limits of Brownwood, according to Sheriff Vance Hill.

A 29-year-old man is in custody on a capital murder charge in connection with the deaths of his parents, Hill said.

Authorities are withholding the names of those involved pending notification of family members.
