City's robot mowers get names Pancho and Lefty are the names chosen for Taylor City Cemetery's autonomous mowers, according to a city announcement.

Selected through a public vote, the names refer to the classic Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard song and album of the same name, "Pancho and Lefty." Taylor recently added the two ECHO Turf Mower 1000 automatons, which operate on their own and return to their charging stations when they need a boost.

According to the ECHO website, the TM-1000 uses up to eight times less energy than conventional mowers.
