For a group of Brownwood Middle School drama/theatre students, a recent visit to the Brownwood Lyric Theatre offered a unique opportunity to step behind the stage and discover what it takes to bring a live stage production to life.

Keren Myers' Advanced Theatre, Tech Theatre, and Intro to Theatre classes traded their usual classroom setting for an up-close look at all that makes local, live theatre possible.

While audiences often focus on the actors performing under the lights, a successful production starts backstage, in the props room, and the scenery shop.
