LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - More than 2,000 children across 37 South Plains area schools will receive vital weekend meals thanks to a major community donation from the West Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.

The association celebrated raising $23,000 for the nonprofit organization Food 2 Kids during its "Giveback Luncheon" on Tuesday.
