KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Ellison High School was placed in a lockdown Thursday afternoon in response to "reported anonymous concern.""Law enforcement and school administrators continue to respond to the reported safety threat at Ellison High School. The campus remains in lockdown as a precaution, with students and staff safely secured," the school district wrote in a statement.

Killeen ISD confirmed to KWTX the lockdown was initiated around 1:43 p.m. Thursday.

Families were notified via an alert that was shared with KWTX.
