WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX) - A suspected vehicle burglar is behind bars after Woodway Public Safety officers utilized a thermal drone to locate and capture him hiding on a rooftop early Thursday morning.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on July 23, 2026, officers were dispatched to Topeka Drive after an alert resident reported a suspicious person attempting to break into vehicles in the area.

Upon arrival, the department's Drone Unit deployed a thermal imaging drone to canvas the neighborhood.
