BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- The officer under investigation for allegedly misusing data from Flock Safety's license plate reader system has resigned, according to the Baytown Police Department.
Police Chief John Stringer said the officer resigned from Baytown PD on Wednesday amid an internal affairs investigation and a separate criminal investigation into the matter.
Stringer added that despite the officer's resignation, the investigations remain active and will be worked to full completion.
