MOODY, Texas (KWTX) - A suspect is in custody after gunfire interrupted a youth sports practice Wednesday evening near Moody Middle School.

According to officials, the Moody Youth Sports Association (MYSA) was holding practice at the Moody Middle School football field when shots were fired from a vacant lot immediately south of the field.

Witnesses and attendees reported hearing bullets flying overhead.
