WIMBERLY, Texas - Explosive materials were found Thursday at a Wimberley home where a 40-year-old man who drowned in Canyon Lake used to live, according to a Hays County news release.
Hays County first responders were dispatched around 8:30 a.m. and found suspected military-type and homemade explosives at a home in the 2700 block of Fischer Store Road, the release said.
Sheriff deputies and fire marshals conducted an initial assessment and determined a bomb squad was needed to evaluate the materials to identify the safest disposal method, Hays County said.
