(KGNS) - More than 100 dancers wearing yellow gathered Saturday, Sept. 19, to raise money for Laredo families affected by childhood cancer.

United Independent School District hosted its first Zumba fundraiser for Smiles from Heaven, a nonprofit that helps children diagnosed with cancer.

The event was held in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
